Dyslexia in animation and music

https://youtu.be/F9SxijF8VRc

Thank you to Myra who sent me this fabulous link which goes some way to help explain about the challenges of dyslexia.

I took a screenshot from the link and I’d encourage everybody to have a look at this.

I found the short presentation uplifting, inspirational, educational, thought-provoking and very insightful indeed.

I have shared the link far and wide on social media and with friends and colleagues.

  1. Myra, I posted this link on my Facebook page with a little bit of commentary and received a message from a student I taught in Aberdeen in 2003/4. Trish has had an incredible Nursing career and continues to flourish in a vocation she was made for. It’s a very powerful reply from her, and not something I’d normally post, but this is what she said. It’s quite incredible.

“I will always be thankful to you Mark for fighting for me in college to get my extra 15 mins for my first ever exam as they had refused me because the extra support had not yet been passed. I would have most probably failed and given up, but because you fought for me I went on to do a degree and my masters with support! Thank you for believing in me 😁”. To say I’m humbled is an understatement after all these years. Wow.
