The range of talks again was fantastic and today's topics were: Cystic Fibrosis, Nystagmus, Crohn's Disease, Dextro Cardia, IVH, Huntington's Disease, Stillbirth.
Very well done to all and some feedback below would be ideal, thank you. Thank you to all contributors to the feedback so far, it really does help all the presenters I think.
If you are delivering on 13th December and haven't e mailed me your talk yet, please do so by Tuesday latest please.
All the best,
Mark
Well done to everyone who has passed this week and last, and good luck to those who are doing theirs next week yous will breeze it. I can't believe mine lasted 10 minutes it only felt like a couple. Although I am pleased that I passed I am however a tad dissapointed in myself that it didn't quite go the way that I had planned and practised. I think it shows how far i have came that I'm dissapointed even though i passed as at the start I would have been more than happy with that. I also want to say a special congrats to Lauren and Kelly for their presentations it must have been so difficult to talk about what they have been through with Lauren's wee one and Kelly personally. I also really enjoyed learning about things that I had no idea about. I would have loved to hear everyone else's
ReplyDeleteThanks Aaron. You put a lot of research and thought into your talk, and hit all the criteria necessary to pass. Sometimes performance based assessments don’t always go as planned (lessons are no different!) You should be very proud of yourself and you delivered a very competent talk which was backed up with lots of interesting and nicely sourced data. The q and a session was strong too, so the pros certainly outweighed the cons, for sure! Well done again and thank you for taking the time to reflect on your presentation and those of other members in the class. See you in two weeks. Mark
ReplyDeleteWell done to everyone today all your presentations where amazing.i really did surprise myself being able to get up and talk for 6 mins Infront of people, I enjoyed every minute.I learned so much from all the topics covered but Aaron’s really stood out and surprised me with the figures of infertility in people with cystic fibrosis, something I knew nothing about. I really appreciate your comments Aaron wasn’t the easiest of topics to talk about but I did it and I am proud that I held it together.thank you.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely Kelly and as I said today in the feedback session, those two hours we all shared today was our moment in time. The content never fails to deliver; there’s always so much research to digest and everybody learns. That includes the presenters too of course. Thanks for your reflective words and well done, you dealt with your chosen subject very sensitively and pitched it perfectly I thought. See you in two weeks where we will have a reflective session for the whole class. Well done, Mark
ReplyDeleteIt's so nice to read peoples support and encouragement for each other. Well done to everyone that's passed so far.z
ReplyDeleteAgreed. Support and a collegiate approach are both so important when we learn. Thanks for your comment Sharon and I will see you next Thursday.
